A Surrey-based abstract and semi-abstract landscape painter, Emma Price works primarily in oils. Emma initially undertook a Foundation Fine Art Degree at UNSW Art & Design Sydney, before completing a Bachelor of Graphic Design at the University of Canberra in 1993, with further design study at Central Saint Martins, London in 2002.
Although having a successful design career in both Australia and England as a magazine Art/Creative Director across titles including Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, House & Garden and Good Housekeeping – in 2019 Emma left the publishing world to pursue her fine arts career. Having always felt a connection to our natural world, her work has evolved from realism pencil artist to abstract landscape painter – often based on landscapes Emma has lived and travelled through, she creates atmospheric works that take the viewer to more ethereal and imagined landscapes.
Emma became an Associate Member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art (The Drawing Society), ASGFA, in 2024.
