Abstract Painting

Shveti Maini.avif

Shveta’s practice is rooted in an intuitive creative process where emotion informs gesture, allowing each brushstroke to emerge as a direct extension of feeling. Her abstract compositions embody a delicate balance between spontaneity and control, exploring themes of memory, movement, and transformation. Deeply influenced by the natural world and the fluidity of the sea—a formative presence from her childhood as the daughter of a naval officer—Shveta translates the ebb and flow of lived experience into layered surfaces of colour and texture. Her series, including Unseen Connections and Echoes of Bloom , evoke both personal reflection and collective emotion, inviting viewers into a contemplative space of resonance and interpretation.

Over the years, Shveta has exhibited widely across the United Kingdom and internationally. Her work has been featured in prominent showcases such as The Affordable Art Fair London, The Other Art Fair London, the Royal Cambrian Academy Open Exhibition, and curated group shows including Open 24 at Tarpey Art Gallery, Art Gemini Summer Exhibition at London Lighthouse Gallery, Abstract Virtual at the Royal Blue Art Gallery, and FIÉSTA at the Inky Fingers Art Gallery. She was a Finalist in the Visual Artist Open Award 22 at Unit 1 Gallery Workshop, London. She has also participated in international online exhibitions curated by Sergio Gomez of 33 Contemporary Gallery, Chicago, and held a solo exhibition at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Through her evolving body of work, Shveta continues to explore the emotional and psychological landscapes of abstraction, offering a visual language that bridges the internal and external worlds.
